ABOUT THIS ALBUM...

The word "patch" calls to mind the technique used on the old analogue synthesizers, on which the different modules had to be connected, from one to the other by cables.
The main idea of 'Patchwork' was to compile different music from different musicians, with the aim of making an homogeneous CD, showing that the different friends, with their own personalities were working in the same musical area.

The music produced by Bertrand are the two tracks from "Prière" and "Le Pays Blanc". They are longer versions and remixed versions of these previously released compositions.
When Bertrand made these recordings, he had a JV8800 rack that can be heard in the two tracks.

"Solitude Standing" from "Priere" is completed with a repetitive part, showing the influence of Tangerine Dream in the background culture of Bertrand.

The new version of "Valentin" is interesting mainly for the introduction of timpani sounds, played by Olivier Briand.

Christian Gérard, Olivier Briand, Jean-Christophe Allier, Lionel Palierne, et Bertrand Loreau are 5 musicians who have been friends for a long time.Before the recording of the CD, they had formed the team of KS-mag

For three of the musicians it was a first discography appearance.
